Your email marketing campaigns won’t work any more if you’re not following these rules

If you’re sending mass emails, more than 5,000 emails, Google and Yahoo have new rules that you must follow, or your email campaigns won’t reach your recipients email inboxes anymore.

Here are the new email requirements at a glance:

  • Your spam complaint rate needs to be under 0.3%.
  • Domain Authentication using SPF, DKIM, and DMARC is now required.
  • You must have a one-click unsubscribe link/option and you must remove people from your email marketing list within 1-2 days.

Email service providers are concerned more than ever with user satisfaction and are trying to cut down on spam.

For email marketers, this means you need to be hyper-aware of what you’re sending out.

To keep a low spam score, you have to send valuable emails and be diligent about managing your email marketing list.

These rules are already in place, so don’t put one of the most effective marketing channels for your business at risk.

If you are unsure about these rules and how to implement them please contact First Direct Corp. today (845) 221-3800.
