When attempting to click on a URL or website link in GoldMine, you get the following error message: “No browser is currently registered to handle URLs, please install one to use this feature.”
This is a problem that Google Chrome creates when it is uninstalled. Google Chrome leaves some registry settings behind. This problem extends to other applications, not just GoldMine. To resolve it, go to regedit, and go to the following keys. Export/backup your registry section prior to making these changes.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Modify the value to be the following: htmlfile (currently show’s as CHROMEhtml)
Repeat for .htm and .shtml classes.
